The Funeral Service:The Funeral Service of the late Rev Donald Mackenzie will take place in the Parish Church at 1.00 pm
Craft Group: Craft Group meet from 2.30pm to 4.30 pm (Note time is later than usual for today only, because of the funeral service).
Bible Study Group: Bible Study Group meets at 7.30pm at the home of James and Murdina,. The passage for study is Revelation 2:18-29.
Road to Recovery: Road to Recovery at 7pm in Tain Hall.
Tain Lunch Club: Tain Lunch Club meet at mid-day. Team 2 are on duty.
Congregational Mid-week meeting: Congregational mid-week meeting for prayer and Bible Study meet tonight at 7.30pm. in Hilton.

Prayer Group: Prayer Group meet as usual at 11am at David and Anne’s home.
Preparatory service: Communion Preparatory service in Tain 7.30 pm to be led by Rev A. Macaulay. (see note below for more information about our Communion Weekend)
SUNDAY SERVICES for 19th January:
Lord’s Supper will be served in Tain at the morning service.

Joint Bulletin: There is now a single joint bulletin for both ends of the congregation. This will keep people informed of all that is going on in both Tain and in Hilton. All notices should be received by 6pm on the Thursday by Susan Clyne.
Tain Communion: Tain communion is next weekend. The Saturday night service will be taken by Alasdair. There will be fellowship in the manse afterwards to which all are invited. Andrew will preach on Sunday and the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at the morning service. There will be tea and testimony afterwards in the hall. Hilton will close on Sunday evening to allow for a joint service in Tain. Meanwhile, if anyone connected with the congregation wishes to profess faith in Jesus and take communion for the first time, they should speak to one of the ministers or elders this week.
Election of Elders: The following men have all been elected as elders of Tain and Fearn Free Church – Hector Campell, John Garvie, Hugh MacKenzie, Rod MacKenzie and Willie MacKenzie. It is likely that their induction to office will take place on Sunday 2nd February.
New Sermon Series: We plan to begin a new sermon series in the mornings on the Sunday after the Tain communion. It will be a 10-week series called Responding to Jesus. We hope the sermons will be simple and accessible for people without much Bible knowledge. There are invitation cards attached to your bulletin today that you can use to invite folk along. There are additional invitation cards at the door.
Christianity Explored: We plan to run Christianity Explored over a seven week period beginning in February. More details will be provided over the coming weeks.
Calendar Money: If anyone still has to pay for Calendars they have taken, please do so as soon as possible. There is a small number of calendars left if anyone wishes to purchase one.
Record Payment: If you have yet to make payment for The Record magazine please do so as soon as possible. Please put your £25 payment in an envelope with your name on and put it in the collection plate.
New Church Pledges: Please bear in mind that we are currently seeking pledges to see if we can raise enough money to get us to the half-way point, so that we can then apply for grants elsewhere. If you are able to pledge a gift of money to the church for this purpose, please inform the clerk of the Deacons Court, Mr Bill Ferrier, on 01862 810 457 or by email on firstname.lastname@example.org – Pledges will be confidential.
Note: There is a loop system in the church and we stand to sing and remain seated for prayer
Cheques: All cheques must now be made payable to – Tain and Fearn Free Church of Scotland.
Please do not put “Building Fund” on the cheque as the bank has changed its rules and will now return it. If you wish a cheque to go towards the Building Fund – please make that clear on the envelope.
Sermon Recordings: If anybody wishes a copy of any sermon as an MP3 recording sent via e-mail – please e-mail your request to Tom Walker on email@example.com stating which sermon you would like.
CDs can be ordered using the forms in the vestibule.
Alternatively you can listen to the morning sermons on the church YouTube channel. Morning sermons are usually added to our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoons. Some evening sermons are now being added.
Church Finances: The Deacons Court would like to encourage those who contribute to the church to consider doing so by Standing Order. Anyone who sets up a new Standing Order should also let the Assistant Treasurer, Donella Ferrier know that they have done so. Free-Will Envelopes: There are envelopes available for those who would like to use this method to donate to the church. Please speak to the treasurer, Donald Beaton or the Assistant Treasurer, Donella Ferrier.
Meanwhile, the Deacons Court would also urge anyone who pays tax to consider signing a Gift Aid form. This allows the church to get an additional 25% from the government, on any donations you make.
