National Day of Prayer: This Wednesday is the Free Church National Day of Prayer. We will have a meeting for prayer at 9am as well as the usual meeting at 7:30pm which will be devoted to prayer. There are booklets at the door with prayer topics to help inform your prayers.

Communicant Roll: The name of Hugh MacKenzie, Hilton, has been added to the role of communicant members, by certificate. This is in addition to the two names added at the Hilton communion by profession of faith; Will Ross and Jean MacDonald.

2020 Calendars: The Fundraising calendars for 2020 are available in the hall priced at £5. Notelets are also available. Please put your payment in the blue moneybox.

Fundraising Stall: We have a stall this Saturday at Tain Christmas Market on the High Street. We will be selling soup & bread and will also have a sale of baking. The stall will be open from 4pm to 7pm outside the old RBS building. We still need volunteers to man the stall for part of that time. If you are providing baking, it would be helpful if it could be delivered to the RBS building from 2pm. If you need it to be picked up, contact Fiona on 0774 7793354, or email fs.robertson@btinternet.com

Christian Focus Catalogue:   If you are thinking about buying Christian books to give as gifts this Christmas, there are copies of the Christian Focus catalogue available at the door.   There is a discount token inside.

New Church Pledges: We are currently seeking pledges to ascertain whether in conjunction with a loan from the Trustees, we can raise enough money to reach the half-way point, enabling us to then apply for grants elsewhere. By pledges, we mean a promise to gift money for this purpose. If enough is pledged, to enable the project to move forward, we will take up the pledges. Anyone wishing to pledge should speak to the clerk of the Deacons Court, Mr Bill Ferrier, on 01862 810 457 or by email on bill.camore@gmail.com – Pledges will be confidential, with only Bill being aware of the names of those pledging . If in future the pledges are taken up, the treasurers would also be made aware at that time.

WFM: The WFM will meet in Tain Free Church on Tuesday, December 3rd at 2:30pm. The speaker will be Mary Macleod who will speak about her work with the Invergordon Cruise Ships. Tea and coffee will be served and there will also be a sales table. All ladies are warmly invited.

Highland Foodbank – (Harvest 2019): “We would like to thank the members and friends of Tain and Fearn Free Church for your help with donations during the month of October. Your donations will enable us to meet the ongoing need in communities across the Highlands.”

Cheques:   All cheques must now be made payable to – Tain and Fearn Free Church of Scotland.

Please do not put “Building Fund” on the cheque as the bank has changed its rules and will now return it.   If you wish a cheque to go towards the Building Fund – please make that clear on the envelope.

Sermon Recordings:  If anybody wishes a copy of any sermon  as an MP3 recording sent via e-mail – please e-mail your request to Tom Walker on tom@tain.co.uk stating which sermon you would like.

CDs can be ordered using the forms in the vestibule.

Alternatively you can listen to the morning sermons on the church  YouTube channel. Morning sermons are usually added to our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoons.  Some evening sermons are now being added.

Church Finances:  The Deacons Court would like to encourage those who contribute to the church to consider doing so by Standing Order. Anyone who sets up a new Standing Order should also let the Assistant Treasurer, Donella Ferrier know that they have done so. Donella can be contacted by email on donellaferrier@talktalk.net or by phone on 01862 810 457.

Free-Will Envelopes: There are envelopes available for those who would like to use this method to donate to the church. Please speak to the treasurer, Donald Beaton or the Assistant Treasurer, Donella Ferrier.

Meanwhile, the Deacons Court would also urge anyone who pays tax to consider signing a Gift Aid form. This allows the church to get an additional 25% from the government, on any donations you make.
