Youth Fellowship: The YF meets in the Tain manse tonight at 7:30pm.

Tain Lunch Club: Tain Lunch Club meets at mid-day in the church hall. Team 1 on duty.
Midweek Meeting for Prayer and Bible Study: Midweek Meeting for Prayer and Bible Study will be at 7.30pm in the hall.
Casan Beaga: Casan Beaga (Parent and Toddlers) resumes today at 10.00am. Snacks duty – June Grant and Fiona Garvie.
Kirk-Session: The Kirk-Session meets in Hilton church hall at 7:30pm.
Prayer Group: There is no Prayer Group this week. The next is on 13th September.
Testimony and Song: Testimony and Song in the Scout Hut in Balintore on Friday night at 7:30pm (see note below)

Generation 19: We have our Invitation Services today and next Sunday. Please stay behind afterwards if you can, as there is a finger buffet and a cuppa. You are also encouraged to invite a friend to our Testimony Night in the Scout Hut in Balintore on Friday at 7:30pm, and to invite friends to your home
Women for Mission: All ladies are warmly invited to a meeting of the WFM on Tuesday, at 7:30pm in Hilton Free Church. The speaker will be Hannah Macaskill from Inverness who will speak about Mission Opportunities for Young People. Prior to the talk, there will be a selection of desserts to enjoy. There is a list at the church door for any contributions. If anyone requires transport, please speak to Donella Ferrier.
Sutherland Convention: The speaker at this year’s convention is Rev Professor Bob Akroyd. The Convention takes place from 6 to 8 September with all the meetings in Dornoch Academy Hall. The Friday and Saturday meetings are at 7:30pm and Sunday at 8pm. More details on the poster in the hall.
New Church Project: There has been a delay in receiving the updated design plans for the New Church due to the architect being away. We will update you once these have been received.
AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Tain and Fearn Free Church is expected to take place on Wednesday 11th September in Tain
Blythswood: The sum of £330 was donated to Blythswood at our recent meeting.
Tain Communion: The next communion in Tain will be on 22nd September. Our guest preacher over that weekend will be Rev. Alasdair MacLeod of Smithton Free Church. If anyone connected with the congregation is considering professing their faith in Jesus and taking communion for the first time, they should speak to the minister or one of the elders before the communion weekend.
Bible Study Group: The next Bible Study is scheduled for Tuesday 10th September at 7.30pm at the home of James and Murdina. The passage for study is James 4:11-17.
Treasurer: Our treasurer Donald Beaton has served the congregation well for over a decade and has intimated that he wishes to relinquish that responsibility now. We are looking for a new treasurer. If you would be willing to consider serving the Lord in that capacity, or if you would like to know more about what would be involved, please speak to one of the ministers in the first instance.
Cheques: All cheques must now be made payable to – Tain and Fearn Free Church of Scotland.
Please do not put “Building Fund” on the cheque as the bank has changed its rules and will now return it. If you wish a cheque to go towards the Building Fund – please make that clear on the envelope.
Sermon Recordings: If anybody wishes a copy of any sermon as an MP3 recording sent via e-mail – please e-mail your request to Tom Walker on email@example.com stating which sermon you would like.
CDs can be ordered using the forms in the vestibule.
Alternatively you can listen to the morning sermons on the church YouTube channel. Morning sermons are usually added to our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoons. Some evening sermons are now being added.
Church Finances: The Deacons Court would like to encourage those who contribute to the church to consider doing so by Standing Order. Anyone who sets up a new Standing Order should also let the Assistant Treasurer, Donella Ferrier know that they have done so. Free-Will Envelopes: There are envelopes available for those who would like to use this method to donate to the church. Please speak to the treasurer, Donald Beaton or the Assistant Treasurer, Donella Ferrier.
Meanwhile, the Deacons Court would also urge anyone who pays tax to consider signing a Gift Aid form. This allows the church to get an additional 25% from the government, on any donations you make.
