Hope in Hard Times: Today we are beginning a new series through 1 Peter. The title of the series is, ‘Hope in Hard Times’. Both Andrew and Alasdair intend to take turn about preaching through the letter on Sunday mornings. If you miss any then you can request a CD or listen online at our Tain and Fearn YouTube channel.

Tain Gala Stall: Thanks to everyone who helped out with the fundraising stall at the Tain Gala – those who staffed the table and those who baked and organised. The sum of over £395.00  was raised.

Generation 19: During the first ten days of September, Free Church congregations are seeking to reach out to their communities in a variety of ways.   We are discussing a few different ideas at this stage, but we have already agreed to have an Invite a Friend to Church Day during that period.   We would like you to begin to pray now about who you might invite and about other outreach events that take place that week.

Missionary Prayer Notes:   The Prayer Notes for July and August are available at the door.

Tain Lunch Club: We are very keen to recruit some new volunteers to go on the rota for the Lunch Club on a Wednesday. You would be on duty from 11am to 1:30pm around once a month. Please speak to Mairi if you can help.

Treasurer: Our treasurer Donald Beaton has served the congregation well for over a decade and has intimated that he wishes to relinquish that responsibility now.   We are looking for a new treasurer.   If you would be willing to consider serving the Lord in that capacity, or if you would like to know more about what would be involved, please speak to one of the ministers in the first instance.

Mission Africa Fundraiser: You are warmly invited to a Garden Opening with Cream Teas in aid of Mission Africa at the home of John and Fiona Garvie: Auchlea, Dornoch this coming Saturday, 13th July, from 10 am to 4 pm. This is through Scotland’s Gardens Scheme. If anyone would like to support this via donations of baking, please speak to Fiona (07714981771).

Fundraising Calendar: Thanks to everyone who contributed photos for the 2020 Fundraising Calendar. The calendar will be printed soon.

Mobile Phones: We are still collecting old mobile phones to raise funds. These can be passed on to Samuel Robertson.

Sermon Recordings:  If anybody wishes a copy of any sermon  as an MP3 recording sent via e-mail – please e-mail your request to Tom Walker on tom@tain.co.uk stating which sermon you would like.

CDs can be ordered using the forms in the vestibule.

Alternatively you can listen to the morning sermons on the church  YouTube channel. Morning sermons are usually added to our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoons.  Some evening sermons are now being added.

Church Finances:  The Deacons Court would like to encourage those who contribute to the church to consider doing so by Standing Order. Anyone who sets up a new Standing Order should also let the Assistant Treasurer, Donella Ferrier know that they have done so. Donella can be contacted by email on donellaferrier@talktalk.net or by phone on 01862 810 457.

Free-Will Envelopes: There are envelopes available for those who would like to use this method to donate to the church. Please speak to the treasurer, Donald Beaton or the Assistant Treasurer, Donella Ferrier.

Meanwhile, the Deacons Court would also urge anyone who pays tax to consider signing a Gift Aid form. This allows the church to get an additional 25% from the government, on any donations you make.
