Children’s Church: Children for Creche go through to the hall after the second singing. Sunday School resumes next week.

Innis Mhor: There is a service today in the care home at 3pm.

Evening Prayer Group: Meets at 5.35 pm in the Hall.

Bible Study Group: The group will meet at 7:30pm in James and Murdina’s home. The topic is, Peter: Learning to pray.   The passages for study are Mark 1:29-39 and Luke 6:12-23.

Road to Recovery: Road to Recovery will meet at 7.30pm in the hall.

 Northern Presbytery: Northern Presbytery meets in Brora Free Church at 7:30 pm.


Tain Lunch Club: Tain Lunch Club will meet today at 12noon. Team 5 are on Duty.

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study  : The Meeting for Bible study and prayer will be at 7:30pm in the hall.


Casan Beaga: (Parent and Toddlers) Parent and Toddlers resumes today at 10am.   Snack duty: Janette Crowther and Elaine Currie


Prayer Group: Prayer Group meets at 11am at David and Anne’s house.


Tain Church Clean-Up: It is intended to give the church a thorough clean today from 10am. (Please see note below)

Property Upkeep Fund:   There is a collection at the close of both services next Sunday for the Property Upkeep Fund.

Tain Church Clean-Up: It is intended to give the church a thorough clean on Saturday 3rd November from 10am. Please bring your own buckets, cloths and some cleaning materials.

Fearn Communion: The communion weekend is on 10th and 11th November.   The guest preacher over that weekend is Rev, Ewen Matheson who is minister of the Free Church in Cross, Isle of Lewis.  

Blythswood ShoeboxesBlythswood shoeboxes  must be in by the end of the month. Meanwhile, Blythswood is seeking volunteers to check and pack donated shoe boxes. If you think you can help with this please phone Blythswood on 01349 830 777. Sorting will be carried out at the Evanton depot, at Maryburgh Free Church and at Culduthel Christian Centre in Inverness during November.

Creche Rota:  We have had a small number of new volunteers but are looking for more.   Please speak to Fiona Garvie, Lorna MacIver or the minister if you are willing to help.

Your Voice in the Church:  During October, the Free Church is conducting a denomination-wide survey about our communications.   The survey is for everyone who attends or has a connection to, a Free Church congregation.  The survey can be completed online via the Free Church website or Facebook page, or hard copies will be made available for people to complete and return.  Please take this opportunity to help improve our communications by providing your feedback through the survey.  As a church, we want to hear your voice.

Church Calendars: The fundraising calendars for 2019 are now available in the hall.   The price remains at £5 which includes an envelope if you wish to post it.   Please ensure that your money goes in the right box!

Online Sermons: Sermons are now being added online weekly.    The morning sermons tend to go up the same day they were preached.   Evening sermons are beginning to be added now also.  You can get them by clicking the ‘Sermons’ tab on our website, which will take you to our YouTube page –  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9E4Fzhc1_UjRBlpR-R6Svw


New Church – Fundraising Notices

Easy Fundraising:  We now have an easyfundraising account.   If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you.   You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk    then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church.

Gift Aid Forms:  If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you.  Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so.  Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.


Church Finances:  The Deacons Court would like to encourage those who contribute to the church to consider doing so by Standing Order.
