Blythswood Shoeboxes: There are leaflets for the Shoebox Appeal at the door. Completed boxes can be brought to the church or handed in to the Blythswood shop by the end of this month.
Blythswood Care is also seeking the help of volunteers to check and pack up donated shoe boxes. If you think you can help with this work please phone Blythswood on 01349 830 777.
Queen Mother’s Clothing Guild: The annual display of knitted items that used to be coordinated by the late Etta Brown, will take place this coming Saturday (27th) from 10am – 3pm in Tain church hall, organised by Etta’s daughter, Shona.
Tain Church Clean-Up: It is intended to give the church a thorough clean on Saturday 3rd November from 10am.
Your Voice in the Church: During October, the Free Church is conducting a denomination-wide survey about our communications. The survey is for everyone who attends or has a connection to, a Free Church congregation. The survey can be completed online via the Free Church website or Facebook page, or hard copies will be made available for people to complete and return. Please take this opportunity to help improve our communications by providing your feedback through the survey. As a church, we want to hear your voice.
Online Sermons: Sermons are now being added online weekly. The morning sermons tend to go up the same day they were preached. Evening sermons are beginning to be added now also. Church Calendars: The fundraising calendars for 2019 are available in the hall. The price remains at £5, which includes an envelope if you wish to post it. Please ensure that your money goes in the blue cash box that is with the calendars. Please bear in mind that we will be looking for photos for the 2020 calendar in due course.
Clocks Change: Remember your clocks go back one hour next weekend.
New Church – Fundraising Notices
Gift Aid Forms: If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you. Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so. Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.
Easy Fundraising: We now have an easyfundraising account. If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you. You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church.
Church Finances: The Deacons Court would like to encourage those who contribute to the church to consider doing so by Standing Order.
