Free Lunch: The Free Lunch takes place between 12 noon and 2 pm in Hilton. Bring a friend along.
Craft Group: The Craft Group meets in Tain church hall from 2 – 4:30pm – All Welcome
Bible Study Group: The next Bible Study will be at 7.30pm in the home of James and Murdina Skinner. The topic is Self-control, and the passage for study is 1 Samuel 26, bringing the series on The Fruit of the Spirit to a close.
Prayer Meeting: The Seaboard Joint Prayer Meeting will be in the APC church at 7:30pm and will be taken by Rev. Alasdair MacAulay.
Prayer and Fellowship Time: Prayer Group meets at 11 am at David and Anne’s house.

Sunday School Helpers: With the growth in numbers attending Sunday School, we are looking for helpers who would go on a rota to assist the teachers. You would not have the responsibility to teach the children but simply to assist those who already teach. Please speak to myself or Mary Paterson if you can help.
Tain Communion: This is our communion weekend and our guest preacher is Rev. George MacAskill, APC. We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper at the evening service and this will be followed by fellowship in the hall.
Communion Roll: The following names have been added to the roll of communicant members at the Tain communion; Hector Campbell, Winnie Campbell and Irene Lawson.
Scottish Northern Convention – The Scottish Northern Convention begins tonight in Castle Street Church, Dingwall, at 8pm and runs until Thursday evening. The main speakers are; Rev Paul Mallard and Rev Peter Grainger. For more information see their Facebook page, or ask Andrew.
Your Voice in the Church: During October, the Free Church is conducting a denomination-wide survey about our communications. The survey is for everyone who attends or has a connection to, a Free Church congregation. The survey can be completed online via the Free Church website or Facebook page, or hard copies will be made available for people to complete and return. Please take this opportunity to help improve our communications by providing your feedback through the survey. As a church, we want to hear your voice.
WFM – The WFM will meet next on Tuesday, 2nd October at 2:30pm in the Tain Free Church hall. The speaker will be Joan Mackenzie, who will give an illustrated talk on her work in Chad. A warm invitation is extended to all ladies in the congregation. The meeting will be followed by tea and coffee, and there will also be a sales table.
Online Sermons: Sermons are now being added online weekly. The morning sermons tend to go up the same day they were preached. Evening sermons are beginning to be added now also. Church Calendars: The fundraising calendars for 2019 are available in the hall. The price remains at £5, which includes an envelope if you wish to post it. Please ensure that your money goes in the blue cash box that is with the calendars. Please bear in mind that we will be looking for photos for the 2020 calendar in due course.
New Church – Fundraising Notices
Gift Aid Forms: If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you. Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so. Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.
Easy Fundraising: We now have an easyfundraising account. If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you. You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church.
Church Finances: The Deacons Court would like to encourage those who contribute to the church to consider doing so by Standing Order.
