The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at the evening service and will be followed by fellowship in the hall. If anyone connected with the congregation wishes to profess their faith and take communion for the first time, they should speak to one of the ministers or an elder before then.
Creche Rota: We need more people to help on the creche rota. It is planned to make some changes, such as providing simple teaching materials that can be done with the infants. It is also intended that creche duty will only start once the children go through to Sunday School. There will be no need for those on duty to be in the hall from the start of the service, as we would like all the children to be in church then. Once we have additional personnel, we will draw up a new rota & provide more information for those who are on it. Please speak to Fiona Garvie, Lorna MacIver or the minister if you are willing to help.
Bible Study Group: The next Bible Study will be on Tuesday 25th September at 7.30pm in the home of James and Murdina. The topic is Self-control, and the passage for study is 1 Samuel 26, bringing the series on The Fruit of the Spirit to a close.
Church Calendars: The fundraising calendars for 2019 are now available in the hall. The price remains at £5 which includes an envelope if you wish to post it. Please ensure that your money goes in the right box!
Online Sermons: Sermons are now being added online weekly. The morning sermons tend to go up the same day they were preached. Evening sermons are beginning to be added now also. You can get them by clicking the ‘Sermons’ tab on our website, which will take you to our YouTube page – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9E4Fzhc1_UjRBlpR-R6Svw
New Church – Fundraising Notices
Easy Fundraising: We now have an easyfundraising account. If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you. You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church.
Gift Aid Forms: If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you. Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so. Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.
