Proposed Change to Evening Service Time:The Kirk-Session has concluded that there will be no change to the evening service time. The preference forms were evenly split, with no clear mandate for change.
New Church Update: Our planning application for the New Church in Tain was approved by Highland Council in the last few days. This is great news and we give thanks to the Lord for ensuring the application progressed without hindrance. We continue to trust that he will help us bring the project to fruition. The Project Team will now instruct the architect to proceed to Building Warrant stage.
Bible Study Group: The group will meet again after the school holidays on Tuesday 24th April at 7.30pm at James and Murdina’s home. The subject is Peace, and the passage for study is Isaiah 43: 1-7.
New Church Fundraising Notices
Church Calendars: Planning has already begun to produce a fundraising calendar for 2019. It would be much appreciated if you could send any suitable images to Rhona at – firstname.lastname@example.org
Car Boot Sale: This will be take place in the Old Health Centre Car Park on 21st April from 10 am – 2 pm. If you can bring along a boot full of stuff to sell in aid of the New Church, please sign up on the sheet at the door to help the planning for the day.
All electrical items for the car boot sale should be PAT tested. There will be a box for collecting electrical items at both the Tain and Hilton Church Halls from Wednesday 11th to Wednesday 18th April. The items will be tested on Friday 20th April and can be collected from the Tain Church Hall on Saturday morning 21st between 9am and 10am.
Fun-Run Fund-Raiser:Fun-Run Fund-Raiser: We will host a 2k and a 5K Fun Run (or walk) for individuals and families on Saturday 5th May at Geanies House. There is now a sign-up sheet on our website with booking and payment instructions. Click here to sign-up and to get more information. Easy Fundraising: We now have an “easyfundraising” account. If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you. You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church
Gift Aid Forms: If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you. Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so. Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.
Church Finances: The Deacons Court would like to encourage those who contribute to the church to consider doing so by Standing Order.
