The plans for building the new church have now been sent to the Highland Council for planning permission . You can see the plans here

Christian Institute: The Christian Institute is hosting a series of meetings across Scotland on the theme of Families under fire – Opposing state intrusion in family life.   The meeting will discuss the proposed smacking ban, transgender lessons for 4-year-olds and the Named Person Scheme.  The Inverness meeting will be on Monday 12th Feb from 7:30 – 9pm at Culduthel Christian Centre, 5 Culduthel Avenue, IV2 6AS.

Christian Witness to Israel: CWI will host a meeting in the church in Tain on Wednesday 21st February.   This would normally be our congregational prayer meeting. CWI’s first Jewish Chief Executive since the 70s, Joseph Steinberg, will give a presentation on the work of the organization at the meeting.   We expect to be joined by people from neighbouring Free Church congregations. There will be a collection for the work of CWI.

New Church Fundraiser:   The church has been given the opportunity to provide a soup lunch for an event being hosted by Highland Council in the Duthac Centre on Saturday 24th February.   It will involve preparing soup for 150 people and serving on the day.   If you can cook or serve, please speak to Mairi.

Car Boot Sale: We intend to hold a car boot sale on Saturday 21st April on the Old Health Centre site. If you are spring cleaning and have stuff that can be sold, please consider holding onto it until that date to raise money for the New Church Fund.

Women Across the Highlands: This one-day conference will be held at Smithton Free Church on Sat 19th May.  The guest speaker is Heidi Johnston from Northern Ireland.  Booking forms are in the hall or you can book at www.womenacrossthehighlands.co.uk   The cost of £22 includes a buffet lunch and refreshments.

Asda Tokens:  If you shop at Asda, there is currently an opportunity to put your green tokens towards our New Church Project.    If we get most tokens out of the three groups, we will receive £500.

Holiday Club 2018: This year’s Holiday Club will take place on the first week of the school holidays beginning on Monday 2nd July.    Could anyone who is able to help out, please let Mairi know.

New Church Fundraising Information.

Easy Fundraising:  We now have an easyfundraising account.   If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you.   You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk    then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church.

Gift Aid Forms:  If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you.  Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so.  Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.
