Evening Prayer Group: Meets at 5.35 pm in the Hall.

Craft Group meet in the Hall from 2 to 4.30 pm. All welcome.
Road to Recovery: Road to Recovery will meet in hall at 7.30pm
House Bible Study: The Bible Study will be at David and Anne Wilkie’s, 10 Duthac Wynd at 7:30 pm. (See Note)
Tain Lunch Club: Meets from 12pm-2pm. Team 4 will be on duty.
Midweek Meeting: Meeting for Prayer and Bible study at 7:30 in the hall.
Casan Beaga. Parent and Toddlers meets in the Hall at 10 am. (Snacks Duty – Clara Robertson and Flora MacKenzie)

New Church Fund: There will be an opportunity to contribute to the New Church Fund at the close of both services next Sunday (1st Oct).
Health Centre Clean-Up: Thanks to everyone who helped out on Saturday with the clean-up at the old Health Centre.
Assistant Minister: Northern Presbytery will meet with the congregation to oversee the signing of a call to Rev. Andrew MacLeod to be our assistant minister. This meeting will take place in Tain Free Church on Wed 4th Oct at 7:30pm. If you are unable to attend, but wish to show your support, you can sign a mandate which is available at the door. House Bible Study: The group will meet fortnightly and the venue may change. The study will be on The Bible Study begins this Tuesday, 26th September at 7:30 pm at the home of David and Anne Wilkie, 10 Duthac Wynd. The first study will be an introduction to the church at Philippi from Acts 16:6-34. Each study is self contained and the aim is to generate informal discussion. Advance preparation for the study is not necessary and no-one will be expected to speak unless they wish to.
New Church Plans: The new church plans are on display in the church hall. If you wish to give feedback, please fill in one of the sheets that are through in the hall.
Baking Sale: The Co-op has offered to host a baking stall in their High Street store on 29th September to raise funds for our new church. We must provide the baking. If you can bake for that date, please speak to Mairi.
Edinburgh Theological Seminary will begin its Saturday Lectures in mid-September.There is a leaflet on the notice-board and a list of the subjects covered. The course can be done online at a time that suits the individual. Although the courses have started you can still sign up for them and catch-up online for any lectures missed. ETS also has an Access to Theology course on a Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, September to May and this can also be done by distance learning. Also available to do remotely is a course on Presbyterianism. You can study the literature or speak to the minister if you wish more information.
Northern Convention: The convention will take place in Castle Street Church, Dingwall from Sun 24th – Thurs 28th September. The main speaker is Rev. Ian Hamilton. More details on the notice board poster.
Africa Inland Mission: A.I.M. will host a dramatic presentation of the life story of Hudson Taylor, in Tain Parish Church on Saturday 14th Oct at 7:30 pm. There are flyers with more information in the hall.
New Church Fundraising Events
Baking Sale: See note above
Calendars: 2018 Calendars are now available and can be purchased anytime. They cost £5.00 Thanks to all those who contributed photos and please continue to take photos which may be used in future years.
Easy Fundraising: We now have an easyfundraising account. If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you. You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church.
Gift Aid Forms: Along with your bulletin today is a Gift Aid Form. If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you. Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so. Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.
