After Church Fellowship with Challenger Team: The Challenger Bus is with us all this week. The team will introduce themselves and tell what they will be doing at a fellowship in the hall, after the evening service tonight.
Property Upkeep Fund: There is a collection at the close of both services today for the Property Upkeep Fund.
Prayer Notes: Copies of the Missionary Prayer Notes for September are available at the door
Road to Recovery Road to Recovery will meet in hall at 7.30pm
Tain Lunch Club. Meets from 12pm-2pm. Team 1 will be on duty.
Midweek Meeting: The Joint Prayer Meeting will be in the APC at 7:30 pm. Rev. A MacAulay will speak on the topic of – “A Soldier in God’s Army”

New Church Plans: The new church plans are on display in the church hall. If you wish to give feedback, please fill in one of the sheets that are through in the hall.
Women For Mission: There will be a Women For Mission meeting. in our Church Hall a week on Friday, 15th September, at 2.30 pm. Cathy and Christine, from Rosskeen Free Church, will give an update on their ‘Bear Necessities’ charity work in Bulgaria. They will introduce the Bulgarian pastor with whom they work. His wife and daughter will also be present. Tea and refreshments will be served. All are welcome. Bring a friend!
Tain Communion: The guest preacher at our communion weekend on 16th and 17th September will be Rev. Iver Martin. The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at the evening service. If anyone connected to the congregation wishes to profess their faith, and take communion for the first time, they should speak to the minister or any of the elders.
Bible Study: It is being proposed that the planned Bible study will take place fortnightly on a Tuesday evening beginning on 19th September. It will be led by David Wilkie. Each study will be self-contained. If anyone is willing to host it in their home, please let the minister know.
Health Centre Clean-Up: It is planned to tidy up around the health centre on Saturday 23rd August starting at 10am.
Northern Convention: The convention will take place in Castle Street Church, Dingwall from Sun 24th – Thurs 28th September. The main speaker is Rev. Ian Hamilton. More details on the notice board poster.
ETS Courses: Edinburgh Theological Seminary will begin its Saturday Lectures in mid-September. There is a leaflet on the notice-board and a list of the subjects covered. The course can be done online at a time that suits the individual. ETS also has an Access to Theology course on a Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, September to May and this can also be done by distance learning. Also available to do remotely is a course on Presbyterianism. You can study the literature or speak to the minister if you wish more information.
New Church Fundraising Events
Calendars: 2018 Calendars are now available and can be purchased anytime. They cost £5.00 Thanks to all those who contributed photos and please continue to take photos which may be used in future years.
Easy Fundraising: We now have an easyfundraising account. If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you. You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church.
Gift Aid Forms: Along with your bulletin today is a Gift Aid Form. If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you. Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so. Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.
