New Church Fundraising Events
Auction Deadline: The forms with your suggestions for contributions to the auction were due to have been returned last week. Please fill them in and return them as soon as possible with any suggestions that you have. This will allow the Fundraising Committee to begin approaching any businesses and individuals that no-one else has suggested. There are additional forms at the door if you have mislaid the one you got. Completed forms should be returned this week at the latest.
2018 Calendars: Scenic photos for the 2018 calendar should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
Easy Fundraising: We now have an easyfundraising account. If you shop online, the church can gain a donation for every purchase you make from numerous retailers, at no cost to you. You can sign up at the following site easyfundraising.org.uk then follow the simple instructions to join. This service is free every time for both yourself and the church.
Gift Aid Forms: Inside every bulletin today is a Gift Aid Form. If you donate money to the church and you are a tax-payer – the congregation can gain additional income at no cost to you. Therefore we would urge you to fill in this Gift Aid Form unless you have already done so. Last year we received almost £20,000 back from the government in Gift Aid.
The Record: There will be no March issue of The Record. Rev. David Robertson will become editor temporarily.
Barnabas Newsletter: There are some copies of the monthly newsletter from the Barnabas Fund at the door. Barnabas help persecuted Christians worldwide. If you find the newsletter helpful and would like to receive it on a regular basis, please let the minister know.
Gideons: The Annual Meeting of the Gideons will take place in Tain Parish Church on Friday 17th March at 7:30 pm. The speaker will be Matthew Gracie from Gideons Scotland and there will also be an update on their work locally. The Highland Male Voice Choir will be there and there is tea and fellowship afterwards.
Rosskeen F.C. Ladies Meeting: This Monday (6th March) Emma MacKenzie from Hilton will speak on the subject of “Fed by Ravens – Lessons learnt on a journey with Multiple Sclerosis”.
Congregational Meal: It is planned to have a congregational meal after the morning service on Sunday 2nd April. There will be sign-up forms available at the door, to try and get as many people as possible involved.
Youth Camps Support: The Deacons Court will provide some financial help to parents who are sending their children to a Free Church camp this year. Let the minister know if you have children attending camp.
Congregational Meeting: The recent congregational meeting unanimously approved the proposal to apply to the General Assembly for permission to call an assistant minister. This will require the approval of Presbytery at its meeting on Tuesday and should then go to the General Assembly in May.
