                Sunday School and Creche – The children go through to the hall after the second singing which is usually about 15 minutes into the service.

                  Crèche duty today: Murdina Skinner and Alice Fraser.

               Evening Prayer Group:  This meets at 5.35 pm in the Hall.

               Prayer Notes: The Missionary Prayer Notes for September are available at the door.  

               Sutherland Convention: Meeting tonight at 8:15pm in Dornoch Academy.

Tuesday Road to Recovery meet in hall at 7.30pm

WednesdayTain lunch Club –meets from 12pm-2pm.  Team 1 on duty

                                  The Women’s Bible Study will not resume until after the October Holidays.

                               Midweek Meeting Our monthly Joint Prayer Meeting takes place in the APC church – Rev.  A MacAulay will speak on Paul’s Prayer in Eph.  1:15-23.

Thursday Casan Beaga: (Parent and Toddlers) meets in the Hall at 10am

Highland Foodbank: During the month of September we will have the Harvest Appeal collection. Boxes will be available at each door for donations of the following items–Oatcakes/ Crackers, Long Life Fruit Juice, Tinned Ham, Tinned Rice Pudding, Pasta sauces

Property Upkeep Fund: There will be a collection for the Property Upkeep Fund at the close of both services today.

New Church Fund Account There is now a dedicated bank account for the New Church Fund which people can contribute to at any time.  If anyone would prefer to give by Standing Order you can arrange that with your bank.

The total raised so far is £85,000 with a target of £100,000 by the end of the year.

Protected Study Time: The Kirk-Session recently agreed that the minister should have protected study time.  For that reason, they ask that the congregation avoid visiting the manse during mornings unless the matter is urgent.  You are most welcome to visit at any other time.

Rosskeen Induction:  The induction of Rev. Calum MacMillan as minister of Rosskeen Free Church takes place this Friday 9th September at 7:30pm in Rosskeen Free Church.  The service will be taken by Rev. Roddy Macrae, Helmsdale.

Fundraising Calendar:  The fund-raising team plan to produce a calendar, which will include a variety of scenic views from this area.   If you have a good photo that you would be willing to contribute, please speak to Rona Grigg or email it to her on catrionagrigg@btinternet.com

Youth Fellowship:   The YF resumes next Sunday 11th September and will meet in the manse in Tain at the new time of 7:30 pm.   Anyone from p.6 upwards is welcome to attend.

WFM – The WFM Away Day takes place on Saturday 17th September at the Jury’s Inn in Inverness from 9:15 to 4pm.   The theme for the day is “Blessed to be a Blessing” – the guest speakers are Jean Garland and Cathy Steed.  Tickets are £25 and include a soup & sandwich lunch.   To book call Janice Anderson on 01506 881 846 or get a booking form at the door. 

Seaboard Hall FundRaiser: There will be a table-top sale in the Seaboard Hall on Sat 24th September.   We will have a table there.   Donations of hand-made items and new or nearly new items to sell should be passed on to Maureen Ross 832 578 or Catherine MacLean 850 086 – or brought to the hall here in ample time.   No baking for this sale.

Tain Communion: The Communion weekend is 24th & 25th September.  The visiting preacher will be Rev. David Meredith, who is Missions Director for the Free Church.  The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated on Sunday evening.
